We also have Balti Masala, Pilau Masala, Biryani Masala, Achar Gosht Masala and Onion Masala to make many alternative dishes all with mouth watering, authentic flavour, and it only takes few minutes in the kitchen.
Cooking Instruction:
The Following Guidelines are for 3-4 Large Portions
1. Heat 2-4 tablespoons of oil in a pan, for 30 secs on full heat.
2.Add Shaheen Bombay Biryani Masala & stir continuously for 1-2 minutes.
3. Add from 300g Meat/Chicken or Vegetable, 200g Potatoes with 2-3 tbsp of plain Yoghurt, stir it well, for hot Biryani add 5 whole Green Chillies.
4.Cover & simmer on low - medium heat for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until tender. (For lamb or beef add 200ml of water at step 3 and cook for about 45-60 Minutes until meat is tender.)
5. Meanwhile wash 300g Basmati Rice and Soak for 15 Minutes then place in large pen with 2 litre of salted water (tip: 2 tsp of oil with help separate the rice) stir it, boil the rice uncovered for about 10 mins. until rice is three quarter done. Remove from heat and drain off water.
6.Form a layer in the pan with Half of cooked rice first, then spread the cooked biryani masala sauce with chopped mint then spread remaining cooked rice over the top of Cooked Biryani. Add Some Ghee or Butter and Fried Onion on top of rice (if desired add saffron water on top).
7.Cover the pan and place back onto the over top on low heat for about 15 minutes, this will allow the steam to finish cooking the rice and meat thoroughly until tender.
Tasty Tip
Add Chopped Coriander and Mint at step 4.
